General Booking and Conditions
Before booking your activity with Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours, please carefully review and accept these booking conditions. They provide guidelines on utilizing our booking policy on the website for your activity bookings with Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours.
1. Booking/payment of the tour price
1.1. Registrations are based on the service descriptions outlined in the catalog or website. You can register for a tour in writing or online.
1.2. By booking with Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours, you are offering to enter into a travel contract. You are bound to the booking for 10 days. The travel contract is initiated upon receiving confirmation from Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours. No specific form is required. A written copy of the booking confirmation (= invoice) will be dispatched immediately or soon after the contract is concluded.
1.3. The confirmation for booking a trip or other tours with Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours is provided within 48 hours of receipt. The confirmation includes all reservations such as hotels, restaurants, transportation, tour guide, and other items. A deposit of 20% is necessary to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due 14 days before departure. Full payment will be required if your departure date is within 14 days.
1.4. For bank transfers, customers must bear all bank charges incurred in the customer’s country.
1.5. For bookings of at least six people simultaneously, we offer a Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours group discount of 5 – 10% on the basic tour price. Group discounts also apply to bonus tours, provided there is a joint registration, billing, and payment of the total travel price in two installments (initial and final payment). The group discount will be forfeited if you make more than 2 installments (excluding last-minute services).
2. Cancellation – replacement participant – rebooking
2.1. By providing written notice, Customers can withdraw from the contract anytime before departure. In the event of cancellation or no-show, the following cancellation fees are due from the travel price:
- Up to 30 days before departure: 20% of the total balance
- 15 to 29 days before departure: 30% of the total balance
- 7 to 14 days before departure: 60% of the total balance
- 6 days or fewer before departure: 100% of the total balance
2.2. Customers’ requests to change participants, accommodations, type of catering, or similar is possible up to 28 days before the tour’s commencement for a change fee of USD 50 per change. A rebooking to a different tour or date by the customer is possible only by canceling (as per the cancellation conditions in section a) and then rebooking.
2.3. If a traveler doesn’t take advantage of a single travel service due to early return travel because of illness or other reasons for which Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours is not responsible, the traveler is not entitled to proportional reimbursement.
2.4. If an accommodation becomes single-use due to the cancellation of a travel participant, the canceling participant will be charged the cancellation costs (according to item 2) per the above cancellation rates, but at least a flat-rate compensation of USD 150. For the conversion of the booking to individual accommodation, the remaining travel participant will be charged the standard surcharge for individual accommodation. The organizer reserves the right to change the accommodation according to occupancy.
3. Cancellation and termination by Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours
3.1. If a tour is canceled for reasons beyond our control (strike, natural disasters, etc.) or the minimum number of participants is not met, Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours can withdraw from the travel contract as per the conditions below.
3.2. Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours must immediately inform the traveler of the cancellation if it’s clear that the tour cannot be carried out for the reasons mentioned above.
3.3. If a tour cannot proceed because the minimum number of participants is not met, Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours must inform the traveler at least three weeks before the tour’s start date.
3.4. Any payments made will be refunded promptly. There are no further claims, especially for reimbursement of cancellation costs for already booked hotels, other tickets, tour guides, transportation, etc.
4. Services and prices
4.1. Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours’ obligation to perform comes from the content of the booking confirmation along with the catalog or travel advertisement valid at the time of the tour, based on all the information and explanations contained therein, and includes individual agreements.
4.2. Subsequent transport by train/bus/plane must be arranged or booked by the customer. Upon request, Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours is ready to arrange suitable transportation.
4.3. All discounts derived from the customer’s age are based on the age on the day of travel.
5. Changes to contract content before the start of the tour that does not affect the tour price
5.1. Changes to key characteristics of tour services from the agreed content of the tour contract, which are necessary after the contract’s conclusion and were not made in bad faith by Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours, are permitted before the tour’s start as long as the changes are minor and do not affect the overall tour. Changes include, for example, rebooking to an identical ship of the shipowner, alterations in travel times and/or routes for river trips due to unforeseeable flooding or low water (for safety or weather reasons), partial or total failure of sections, or executing sections by other means of transport, omission or changes in excursion programs.
5.2. Any warranty claims remain unaffected if the changed services are defective. Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours must immediately inform the customer of any changes in performance. If significant changes to the tour services occur from the agreed content of the tour contract before the start of the tour, the customer has the right to withdraw from the contract. The customer must assert this withdrawal promptly after the declaration by Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours.
5.3. Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours can increase the tour price following the calculation below if transport costs, particularly fuel costs, increase at the time of concluding the travel contract:
a) If an increase is related to the seat, Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours can demand an increasing amount from the customer. b) In other cases, the additional transport costs demanded by the carrier for each transport means are divided by the number of seats of the agreed transport means. Then, Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours can request the resultant amount for the single seat from the customer.
5.4. If the taxes such as taxes, port or airport fees towards Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours are increased upon the travel contract’s conclusion, the tour price can be increased by the corresponding proportionate amount.
5.5. An increase is only permissible if there are more than four months between the contract’s conclusion and the agreed travel date, and the circumstances leading to the increase had not occurred before the contract’s conclusion and were not foreseeable for Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours when the contract was concluded. In the event of a subsequent change in the tour price, Siem Reap Happy Cycling Tours must inform the customer immediately. Price increases from the 20th day before the start of the tour are ineffective
